Why hello there, and the School 'Concert' fail.
Hello. I came here because my other blog on another account stopped working and wouldn't let me log on. Grr. So here I am. My name is Untitled and I'm fourteen, I love Vivaldi and I have an obsessive nature. I'm on here to blog about all the random crap that happens in my boring life, so here goes.
Hmm, well. What's been happening lately? I had a school 'concert' on Thursday - a christmas one, the type that features a School Band and a choir, both of which are relatively tiny. It is safe to say that this one was the worst yet, as many things went wrong.
1) Firstly, half of C+A's (leading violins from the School Band) sheet music had gone missing, (partly due to me forgetting to give their copy of Danseyre back, woops.), which led to us squashing up close, trying to read off of the same sheet, and me poking fellow fiddlers with my bow. Great.
2) Secondly, a fellow singer in the 'Choir' could not make it to the performance, which left our small ensemble with a voice count of six, and Dale completely alone in the Alto/Tenor part.
3) Perhaps the worst feat of all was the fact that no one would perform the kitsch dance routine to 'Jingle Bell Rock' that we had all agreed to do earlier, which left me half-heartedly grimacing and bobbing my head until, some time later, I realised that no one else in the choir was joining in, and half the audience were blushing at my stupidity. Great.
Atleast Friday was a bit better. It was the last day of school before the Christmas holidays, and I spent it performing to Year 8s and Year 7s, eating cookies, and in the presence of a boy I am obsessed with, watching him fiddle half the time. Fun days.
